Man, it's been a month since my last post! So, what is new?
- I made it to 34 weeks this past Friday.
My strict doctor said if I could make it to 35 then I could do whatever I want. But, my other doctor (his protege) wants me to try for 36. I think that I'll still go out for Super Bowl, but take it easy other than that. Just a few quick shopping trips to catch up on things. I still have more contractions than normal. However, my cervix is getting thicker instead of thinner! Weird. So, I am not too concered about giving birth too early. I'm carrying about 9 pounds of baby so they are also growing well and they move A LOT. They are also both head down, so I have a chance at a natural delivery. Unfortunately, his head just rests on my bladder so I go to the bathroom all the time now. It's hard to sleep.
- I got to sneak out to see Avatar in 3D and Imax
I really enjoyed it! I was fortunate enough to see an interview on the Today show with James Cameron so I knew that it would be a chick flick as much as a guy movie, so I was excited to see it. Unfortunately, I got busted later by my doctors. It's so hard to hide things from them.
- We moved to Hawaii Kai temporarily while we look for a new home to buy
I really love our new neighborhood. You see the same people taking morning walks with their dogs. It's close to some really great trails or hikes. The surrounding neighborhood is flat so I can work up my endurance after birth. AND there is a Bubbies Ice Cream shop 2 blocks away at Koko Marina. Jerm's parents came down to help us and they did so much. They cooked, cleaned, and helped organize and set up.
- My most watched channel is the Food Network
Jerm bought me a KitchenAid mixer for Christmas after overhearing my conversation with my aunty and how all my favorite shows used the mixer. I never really thought to ask him for one because they are so expensive. But, for at least one more week it will sit unused. I think the first thing I want to make is a red velvet cake from Sunny's Cooking For Real. I think she is fun to watch. I also like Giada and Barefoot Contessa. I'm curious to see who wins America's Worst Cooks tonight. Another favorite show is Cake Boss, but that is on TLC.
