Ollie has landed!!!

Ollie has made it to Hawaii! I was wondering how he was going to do on his plane ride & he seemed just fine when I got him. There are lots of things to do before preparing for your dog to come to Hawaii. I'd have to say that I had the easy end of the move. Jerm had to do all the packing and prep work for Ollie. When I sent Kaimana, almost 10 years ago, he had to stay in quarantine for 30 days and that was the shortest time available. There was also less paper work. Today there are many requirements and you need to prepare about 3-4 months in advance. However, all the stress and craziness is worth it because all I did today was turn in his original health certificate from his vet in WA and sign 2 forms (1 for quarantine and 1 for the airlines) and then he was in the car.

So, now Ollie is resting at home. He is hot, he constantly pants, but hopefully he will get acclimated quickly. Jerm will be arriving on Tuesday. I'm taking a half day off of work to get him. Then it will be a full house.
