Escaping Reality

I'm supposed to be doing laundry, but I decided to read all my favorite blogs (see blog buddies list), maintain Facebook, and post a new blog entry.

Cable TV is still nonexistent here. It really has not been bad living without cable because I did it most of my life and I've been coming home late. However, when the possibility of having it is waved in front of you a couple times, you get anxious. I was hoping to watch the VMAs tonight because today was supposed to be the day of cable installation here. This was the reschedule from our previous appointment because they were "overbooked". So, we shall see if they actually make our next appointment. Oh, did I mention that Jerm had scheduled this a month and a half ago! So, beware when you deal with Direct TV because they use Iron Wood Communication as their contracted installers (in Hawaii) and they seem very sketch at the moment. If they don't make it on Wednesday I will call their main office and file a complaint there along with the BBB! Ha! I already file one with Direct TV.

Other than that disappointment I had a lot of fun yesterday at the UH vs Weber game. UH won but they were really rocky in the first half, making me wonder how they will do this coming Sat. against the OSU Beavers. I enjoyed people watching, too. After going to tailgates and games for the Seahawks, it was a total culture change for UH. I guess it's expected because this is college football and it's sunny Hawaii. But, I didn't expect so many hoochies parading around! I mean, gross. It's as if they thought they were at some nightclub! The thing here is to buy UH apparel and cut it up into knotted Ts. Now, Kristi was explaining that her co-worker had tastefully made cute tube tops for their tailgate last year with ties on the side. I liked that idea because you are in the sun for hours before the game and who wants tan lines? However, some girls took that to a whole new level when they decided to turn their apparel into boob bibs. It looked like a bib that only covered your boob area. Yuck. But, it was fun cruising with friends and we did have great seats in the south endzone corner. Here's a pic!
